Research at higher levels of education offers a picture of decline. This is particularly with respect to curriculum-making, feedback, control mechanisms, inadequate availability of competent teachers, etc. The problem has been noted by Government agencies as well as independent scholars and researchers. What is lacking is clear methodology under which fruitful interaction between young researchers vis-Ã -vis the chosen area of study could take place. This paper investigates a number of aspects related to research in higher education and suggests a corrective paradigm.
